The building’s story
Before the lofts, there were cars. At the corner of rue Saint-Denis and rue Saint-Grégoire, the building long housed a car dealership, and several past listings recall the former Clermont Chevrolet-Cadillac that gave Le Clermont its name.
According to past listings, the building dates from 1941. In 2013 it became a condominium of 55 units on 4 floors. The conversion kept what mattered: the concrete structure, with original columns and exposed beams in several units.
Picture what an old showroom leaves behind: volume. Ceilings over 10 feet, up to 12 feet depending on the unit, large aluminum windows and open spaces that welcome a long table as easily as a studio corner. Based on our information, units range from 538 sq. ft. to 1,065 sq. ft. Each unit has its own storage locker, a bike room waits on the ground floor, and the shared rooftop terrace opens onto the city and Mount Royal.
Outside, the Plateau is best lived on foot. Laurier Park and its outdoor pool are a few minutes away, the Réseau express vélo bike lane runs along rue Saint-Denis, Rosemont metro is about a 7-minute walk and Laurier metro about 9 minutes.
Le Clermont speaks to people who want the character of a loft, the quiet of a concrete structure and the whole Plateau at the end of the street.
Every loft has a story. The story of Le Clermont begins in a former car dealership on rue Saint-Denis. Our job is to help you find the one that becomes yours. Olivier Mailloux and Amélie Flanagan, real estate brokers, follow the Plateau Mont-Royal loft market closely and work with buyers and sellers across Montreal.

Your broker for this building
We know Le Clermont Lofts.
We follow this building one listing at a time: the corner units, the floors that catch the sun, what the co-ownership fees actually cover. That’s been our specialty since 2010.
“My job isn’t to sell you this building. It’s to tell you honestly whether it’s the right one for you, or whether we should look elsewhere.”
Whether you’re comparing two buildings, ready to make an offer, or just curious what a loft looks like inside, we take the time it takes. No pressure.
