The building’s story
Eleven to twelve feet of concrete overhead: at Gillette Lofts, the ceiling does more than sit high, it sets the tone.
The building on rue Saint-Alexandre, across from Saint-Patrick's Basilica, was built in 1911 for the Gillette Safety Razor Company, which made it its Canadian head office and warehouse. It has a concrete structure. It was converted to a condominium around 2007-2008, with a declaration of co-ownership dated 2008.
Inside, the look comes from the building itself: concrete ceilings of 11 to 12 feet, large windows, concrete walls and, in some units, wood floors. According to our information, units range from about 448 sq. ft. to 1,829 sq. ft., and some have access to an indoor garage.
Day to day, the building has six floors, about 51 units, an elevator, indoor parking and storage lockers depending on the unit. Average condo fees are around $0.55 per square foot per month.
Around it are the Quartier international and Old Montreal close by, with Saint-Patrick's Basilica across the street. Square-Victoria-OACI metro station is about a 4-minute walk.
Every loft has a story. The story of Gillette Lofts starts on rue Saint-Alexandre, in a former concrete industrial headquarters. Our job is to help you find the one that becomes yours. Olivier Mailloux and Amélie Flanagan, real estate brokers, follow the downtown loft market closely and work with buyers and sellers across Montreal.

Your broker for this building
We know Gillette Lofts.
We follow this building one listing at a time: the corner units, the floors that catch the sun, what the co-ownership fees actually cover. That’s been our specialty since 2010.
“My job isn’t to sell you this building. It’s to tell you honestly whether it’s the right one for you, or whether we should look elsewhere.”
Whether you’re comparing two buildings, ready to make an offer, or just curious what a loft looks like inside, we take the time it takes. No pressure.
