The building’s story
Before the lofts, 7060 rue Hutchison housed small businesses, from corset making to crystal cutting. Painters and sculptors had their studios here too, the syndicate recalls, drawn by the light of the large windows. In the spring of 2003, nine textile companies still employed 155 people in the building.
The building dates from 1949. In 2005, Conceptions Rachel-Julien renovated it from top to bottom to create Les Condos de la Gare II, next door to 7080, converted a year earlier. The condominium was born in 2006: 104 units over 5 floors.
The windows are still there, many of them, set in horizontal bands, just as Montréal's public consultation office described them in 2003. Behind them, concrete ceilings of 9 to 10 feet depending on the unit, and open plans. Based on our information, units range from 604 to 1,225 sq ft. On the roof, a shared terrace; below, an indoor garage.
Outside is Parc-Extension. Parc metro is 4 minutes on foot, and Parc station puts the commuter train within reach. The Université de Montréal's MIL campus and its footbridge to Outremont are close by, and Jean-Talon Market is about ten minutes away on foot.
7060 suits people who want to live near the metro and the train, in a building that was first a place of work and creation.
Every property has a story. This one begins in its small workshops, from corsets to crystal. Our job is to help you find the one that becomes yours. Olivier Mailloux and Amélie Flanagan, real estate brokers, work with buyers and sellers across Montréal.

Your broker for this building
We know Les Condos de la Gare.
We follow this building one listing at a time: the corner units, the floors that catch the sun, what the co-ownership fees actually cover. That’s been our specialty since 2010.
“My job isn’t to sell you this building. It’s to tell you honestly whether it’s the right one for you, or whether we should look elsewhere.”
Whether you’re comparing two buildings, ready to make an offer, or just curious what a loft looks like inside, we take the time it takes. No pressure.
