Le Redpath – Phase E-F-G

A private terrace above the Lachine Canal, and the city lighting up across the water. At 1673 rue St-Patrick and the neighbouring addresses, Phase E-F-G gathers the Redpath's large lofts, built in 2004 on the site of the refinery John Redpath opened in 1854 at the water's edge.

The refinery closed in 1979. In the early 2000s, developer Gueymard turned the site into condominiums, phase by phase, on plans by Groupe Cardinal Hardy. The old buildings were renovated; Phase E-F-G was built new, and its declaration of co-ownership was signed in 2004. It lines rue St-Patrick, facing the refinery's brick.

There are 36 lofts here, from 922 sq ft to 3,540 sq ft. Picture an elevator that opens straight into the unit, an open space under ceilings of close to 10 feet depending on the unit, and a large private terrace facing the canal or downtown. At the very top, penthouses on two floors, with full-height windows and, in some, a gas fireplace on each level.

On the ground floor, commercial spaces open onto the street. Around it, the life of the whole Redpath: the pool, the gym, on-site security, the indoor garage and, for some units, a boat slip on the Bassin des Prêtres.

Outside is Pointe-Saint-Charles. The Lachine Canal bike path runs along the site, Atwater Market is just across the water, and the cafés of rue du Centre are a few streets away. Charlevoix metro is a 16-minute walk.
