The building’s story
Fifteen feet of ceiling. On the top floor of Le Marquette, your eye rises to the skylights, then drifts through tall factory windows all the way to Mount Royal.
The building dates from 1922 and kept a commercial purpose for more than sixty years. In the late 1980s it became a condominium, with the declaration published in 1989. What remains of its industrial past is the essential part: a concrete structure, exposed columns and beams, brick. According to past listings, the project received a Montreal architectural heritage award in 1999.
Picture 28 lofts, no two alike. Ceilings of 9 to 15 feet depending on the floor, large windows, wood floors and, on the top floor, mezzanines under the skylights. On the garden side, some units open straight onto the greenery. Based on our information, units range from 772 sq. ft. to 1,625 sq. ft., in a concrete building known for keeping things quiet from one floor to the next.
Out back, a shared garden. Below, an indoor garage with charging stations. The building also has outdoor parking, storage lockers and an elevator.
Le Marquette sits in the heart of the Petit Laurier, on a quiet tree-lined street. Avenue Laurier Est and Laurier Park are steps away, with their bakeries, cafés and fine food shops. Laurier metro is about a 17-minute walk.
Le Marquette speaks to people who want real loft volume on a calm Plateau street, close to everything without the noise.
Every loft has a story. The story of Le Marquette begins in 1922, on a small Plateau street. Our job is to help you find the one that becomes yours. Olivier Mailloux and Amélie Flanagan, real estate brokers, follow the Plateau Mont-Royal loft market closely and work with buyers and sellers across Montreal.

Your broker for this building
We know Le Marquette.
We follow this building one listing at a time: the corner units, the floors that catch the sun, what the co-ownership fees actually cover. That’s been our specialty since 2010.
“My job isn’t to sell you this building. It’s to tell you honestly whether it’s the right one for you, or whether we should look elsewhere.”
Whether you’re comparing two buildings, ready to make an offer, or just curious what a loft looks like inside, we take the time it takes. No pressure.
