The building’s story
On rue Clark, a few steps from avenue du Mont-Royal, a concrete building put up in 1910 has kept the essentials of its first life: its columns, its slabs and its raw ceilings, 10 to 11 feet above the floor.
The building was first put to industrial use. Its concrete frame carried it through the century. In 2000, that frame became home to a 51-loft condominium, and a seventh floor, added to the original building, now crowns it.
That concrete is what people live in, across lofts from 678 sq. ft. to 2,130 sq. ft. Ceilings rise 10 to 11 feet, the original columns stay in plain view, and in some units the windows run for nearly 30 feet along the façade. Hardwood warms many of the floors. Depending on the unit, the loft unfolds over two levels or takes its light from a skylight on the top floor.
At the very top, the landscaped shared rooftop terrace looks out on Mount Royal on one side and the city on the other. That is where neighbours meet on summer nights. Below, an indoor garage, storage lockers, bike storage and an elevator round out the building.
Outside, you are where the Plateau meets the Mile End. Avenue du Mont-Royal and boulevard Saint-Laurent are at the end of the street, Jeanne-Mance Park and the foot of Mount Royal a few minutes away, and Mont-Royal metro, on the Orange Line, about an 11-minute walk.
Espace Lofts speaks to people who want the real volume of an industrial building without the tower: just 51 lofts.
Every loft has a story. The story of Espace Lofts begins in a 1910 industrial building on rue Clark. Our job is to help you find the one that becomes yours. Olivier Mailloux and Amélie Flanagan, real estate brokers, follow the Plateau Mont-Royal and Mile End loft market closely and work with buyers and sellers across Montreal.

Your broker for this building
We know Espace Lofts.
We follow this building one listing at a time: the corner units, the floors that catch the sun, what the co-ownership fees actually cover. That’s been our specialty since 2010.
“My job isn’t to sell you this building. It’s to tell you honestly whether it’s the right one for you, or whether we should look elsewhere.”
Whether you’re comparing two buildings, ready to make an offer, or just curious what a loft looks like inside, we take the time it takes. No pressure.
