The building’s story
At the foot of the Jacques Cartier Bridge, a six-storey building stands on rue Parthenais, between Sainte-Catherine Street and De Maisonneuve Boulevard. Here the concrete shows from below: ceilings of about 10 to 11 feet, depending on the unit.
Square Cartier is one of the Accès Condos projects of the Société d'habitation et de développement de Montréal. Construction was completed in 2007 and the declaration of co-ownership dates from August 7, 2007. It has 160 units, from studios to three bedrooms, three elevators and five commercial spaces on Sainte-Catherine Street.
According to our information, units range from 500 sq. ft. to 1,419 sq. ft. Several units spread over two levels. On the top floors, penthouses open onto a private terrace; on the garden level, some units face a green space reserved for residents. Day to day, the building offers indoor parking, a concierge and storage rooms. Average condo fees are around $0.55 per square foot per month.
Papineau metro station is about a 5-minute walk, and the green line takes you downtown without a car. Outside, Sainte-Catherine Street and De Maisonneuve Boulevard frame the neighbourhood.
Square Cartier speaks to people who want a concrete loft a short distance from downtown: first-condo buyers, young professionals, investors and pied-à-terre seekers.
Every loft has a story. The story of Square Cartier starts on rue Parthenais, at the foot of the Jacques Cartier Bridge. Our job is to help you find the one that becomes yours. Olivier Mailloux and Amélie Flanagan, real estate brokers, follow the downtown loft market closely and work with buyers and sellers across Montreal.

Your broker for this building
We know Square Cartier.
We follow this building one listing at a time: the corner units, the floors that catch the sun, what the co-ownership fees actually cover. That’s been our specialty since 2010.
“My job isn’t to sell you this building. It’s to tell you honestly whether it’s the right one for you, or whether we should look elsewhere.”
Whether you’re comparing two buildings, ready to make an offer, or just curious what a loft looks like inside, we take the time it takes. No pressure.
