Address : 1061 Rue Saint-Alexandre, Montréal
This red-brick industrial building was built in 1911 and served as a printing plant for a hundred years. Located at the corner of La Gauchetière Street and St-Alexandre Street, the Paper Hill neighborhood used to gather buildings related to the printing industry and included the main newspapers of the city (Montreal Star, The Gazette, La Presse)
After many years established in the neighborhood, and a well-filled portfolio, they give the torch in 2011 to the Rose group which develops the Wilson Lofts project with the architects of the firm KFA. They decide from the beginning to add 4 floors, to keep the original exterior walls, concrete slabs of the foundation and floors so that the future owners would still feel the industrial side despite the conversion.
The building now has 103 units ranging from 600 to 1500 square feets. The occupants have access to a common rooftop terrace with a magnificent view of the city center. Located only a short walk from St Patrick's Park, Place d'Armes metro station and Square Victoria.
